The Ministry of Tourism led by Her Excellency Maitha Saif Al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism, headed a high-profile delegation with around 25 government entities, hotels and tourism service providers, targeting on promoting the sector in order to increase the number of regional and international visitors at par with Oman Tourism Strategy 2040, targeting to draw 11 million international and domestic tourists.
At the event, the Omani pavilion was the main platform in terms of networking and meetings between government delegations, investors, businessmen and representatives of well-known travel and tourism companies. The meetings talked about the major opportunities in terms of cooperation and discovered the prospects of creating major tourism and hotel projects which would additionally enhance the attractiveness of the nation among Arab and international tourists.
