The rain is here to stay until at least Saturday.
Forecasters say there is a 40 percent chance of rain hitting your area - it was raining in parts of Albany and Schenectady counties - at some point on Thursday.
Rain is almost guaranteed on Friday and likely on Saturday.
Sunday will be cloudy but dry and then the rain returns on Monday.
Those who take the long view will find solace in the arrival of Tuesday. Forecasters say that could be the first day of sunshine and the sun should remain on Wednesday.
The temperature is expected to be in the 50s and 60s on between Thursday and Saturday but the temperature will rise into the 70s early next week.
