NLight stock jumps on first day of trading

Shares of laser manufacturer nLight Inc. rocketed higher in their first day of trading. The stock, now trading near $23, is up 43% from its listing price of $16. The first trade was executed at 11:05 for $23. NLight sold 6 million shares through the initial public offering, raising $96 million. Stifel and Raymond James were the lead underwriters. NLight made its debut on a strong day for tech IPOs, with shares of software company Ceridian up 36% in their first day of trading. The IPO comes as the Renaissance IPO ETF has posted a 1.4% gain so far in 2018, compared with a 1.3% drop for the S&P 500
