The Nelson tennis team blanked Buckingham last week 9-0 on the Lady Govs’ court.
The win puts the team at 7-4 for the season.
No. 1-seeded singles player for Nelson, Marlena Holman defeated Alyssa Gormus, 8-2, as No. 2 seed Destinee Glover took down Dee Dang, 8-1.
Karsen Mayo blew past Bailey Perkins, 8-3, in the battle of the three seeds. In the fourth spot, Meredith Mawyer had the closet match of the day with her 8-6 win.
Grace Garvey took the four-seed win with an 8-5 victory over Charlotte Peseux, and Victoria Saunders rounded out the Nelson sweep with her 8-2 win against Jada Mallory.
In doubles wins, Holman and Garvey took the No. 1-seeded doubles win followed by Mayo and Garvey in the middle. Mawyer and Saunders won the final pairings of the day.
