A single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Fort Myers sent a rider to the hospital Thursday morning.
Benjamin Andrew Paddock, 30, was found next to a heavily damaged motorcycle near an empty field by Champion Ring Road at approximately 3 a.m., according to a news release from the Fort Myers Police Department.
Witnesses said they saw a motorcycle ride by then heard a loud crash and rushed to the scene.
Paddock was conscious and breathing but appeared to be intoxicated, police said.
