A 19-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection to a Saturday triple shooting at a basketball court near Elkton, Maryland.

Police responded at 6:35 p.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting, a Cecil County Sheriff's Office Facebook post said.

Officers discovered there was a heated argument at the Fletchwood Community Park over a pickup basketball game, Michael Holmes of the sheriff's office said.

Then multiple shots were fired, Holmes said. Three victims were taken to an Elkton hospital, where one, Perry Glenn Lotts Jr., 24, was pronounced dead.

The two others, 18 and 22, were treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries, Holmes said.

Police identified Jalil Tyreses Miller as the shooter, Holmes said, and the 22-year-old shot was his brother.

A warrant was put out for his arrest by police Tuesday.

Miller was taken into custody Thursday and charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree attempted murder, two counts of second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, the use of a firearm in commission of a felony and two counts of reckless endangerment.

This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information in the incident is still asked to contact Detective Jonathan Wright at (410) 392-2111.
