Market Now: Hindalco, Ashok Leyland among most traded stocks on NSE
Equity benchmarks were in the green amid positive Asian cues.
NEW DELHI: Hindalco Industries (number of shares traded: 0.61 crore), Ashok Leyland (0.40 crore) and Idea Cellular (0.34 crore) were among the most traded stocks on NSE during the early trade on Thursday.

Wipro (0.30 crore), YES Bank (0.29 crore), Punjab National Bank (0.27 crore), Reliance Industries (0.17 crore), Bank of Baroda (0.16 crore), State Bank of India (0.16 crore), Axis Bank (0.15 crore), Vedanta (0.15 crore) and Bharti Airtel (0.13 crore) were also in the league of most traded stocks on NSE in Thursday's trade.

Equity benchmarks were in the green amid positive Asian cues after the Wall Street moved up as strong earnings eased concerns over the surge in the US bond yields.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 20 points up at 10,590, while the BSE Sensex was up 78 points at 34,579 around 09:55 am (IST).

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

In the Nifty index, Hindalco Industries (up 2.11 per cent), Reliance Industries (up 1.60 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (up 0.96 per cent) and Asian Paints (up 0.90 per cent) were trading as the top gainers.

On the other hand, Wipro (down 3.62 per cent), Bharti Infratel (down 2.87 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 1.24 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp (down 1.16 per cent) were trading as the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
