Basil Thampi comes in to bowl the final over and ends things spectacularly to seal the game. Goes full and straight on the 2nd delivery and sends the stumps flying as Rajpoot goes for the scoop. What a nightmare this has been for Punjab who looked to be cruising at one point.

    WICKET! Rajpoot b Basil Thampi 8 (9)

Kaul to bowl the 19th over. He starts well giving away only singles in the first 4 deliveries. Rajpoot then picks up a four with a lucky inside edge that carries the ball all the way to the boundary line. Kaul responds well with a knuckle ball that misses the off stump by a whisker. KXIP now need 15 in the last over.

  • Apr 26, 11:28 PM (IST)

Rashid Khan once again makes the breakthrough for SRH. Ashwin looks to play a shot over cover but sees the ball carry to his opposite number at the edge of the 30 yard circle. Williamson who was caught by Ashwin earlier in the game returns the favour but safely taking the catch.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman is the new man in and he ends the over with two back to back fours both using the reverse sweep. KXIP now need 23 runs from 12 balls to win.

Kaul to bowl this over. He starts well conceding just 2 runs in the first 4 deliveries. The pressure finally gets to the batsmen as Sran gets a bottom edge to the 5th delivery and sets off blindly for a single. Ashwin rightly sends him back but Saha runs to the ball, takes aim and topples the stumps to send him back to the dugout.

DROPPED! Wow what an over it would have been if Nabi would’ve held on to that one at long-on. Rajpoot goes for a big one but Nabi lets it pop out of his hands.

    KXIP 100/8 after 17 overs

  • Apr 26, 11:20 PM (IST)

WICKET! Sran run out (Saha) 2 (5)

Sandeep Sharma is brought in to bowl his last over and it turns out to be a good decision from Williamson as Sharma gets the wicket of Tiwary. Tiwary reaches out for a flick shot but Sharma sends the slower ball in which just loops off the bat and lands safely in Williamson’s hand at short midwicket.

Tye is the new man in and sends the first ball high up the ground. Shakib tries to reach it but falls short as the ball trickles towards the boundary line for a four.

Sharma then traps Tye with a knuckle ball that hits him on the front. Tye reviews the decision but replays show there is no bat and HawkEye suggests the ball would clip the leg stump making it the Umpires call. Tye has to depart. What an over this has been for SRH.

Shakib to bowl his 3rd and once again provides the breakthrough for SRH. Finch hits him for a SIX over long-on on the very first delivery and looks to repeat the feat off the 2nd one as well but even though he connects well he isn’t able to clear the ropes as Pandey takes a beautiful catch with less than an inch of space between his legs and the line.

    WICKET! Finch c Pandey b Shakib 8 (4)

Rashid Khan is giving the KXIP men all sorts of problems here and he once again makes the breakthrough getting the wicket of Nair on his 4th delivery. He sends down a googly this time which Nair completely fails to read and is caught LBW. There is another big appeal for LBW on the next delivery this time on Tiwary but the umpire says not out. Rashid wants a review but Saha says it’s too high. Good over that by Rashid though. KXIP require 51 from 36 balls to win.

    KXIP 82/4 after 14 overs

    WICKET! Nair lbw b Rashid 13 (17)

  • Apr 26, 10:54 PM (IST)

Shakib comes back to bowl and Agarwal looks to clear the boundary on the very first delivery, he doesn’t get enough on it though and only finds Pandey at long on. Unnecessary shot attempted by Agarwal sees him walk back to the dugout. Shakib gives away just 3 runs in the over.

    WICKET! Agarwal c Pandey b Shakib 12 (15)

  • Apr 26, 10:46 PM (IST)

Kaul to bowl his 2nd of the evening. Agarwal gets a top edge on the pull shot off the 5th delivery, lucky for him the ball evades the bowler’s reach and lands safely in the mid-on region. Good over by Kaul giving away just 6 runs in it.
