Satkar committe Punjab slams police for not taking any action against self made tantrik charged under rape allegations. Pritpal Singh Cheema is alleged of raping as many as 50 women. A tantrik, who is also a municipal councillor, has been booked for rape and criminal intimidation of a woman who began visiting him around 14 years back at his sect. The survivor’s brother, who lodged a police complaint on Monday, has accused Pritpal Singh Cheema known as Pali baba of exploiting women.“Satkar Committee has written to Inspector General (IG) regarding transfer this case from Kapurthala district to any other as tantrik baba is present Congress councilor and has close relations with former Akali minister Upinderjit Kaur. He is also cousin brother of Sultanpur Lodhi MLA Navtej Singh Cheema”, said Satkar Committee representative Sukhjit Singh.He also added that having long wide relations with higher authorities Pali Baba is on the run and police has not taken any step to catch him. However, Sukhjit alleged Sultanpur Lodhi police station SHO Sarbjit Singh of threatening them and demanded his transfer.
