OKLAHOMA CITY -

Some Thunder fans decided that it was time leave after the team was down 25 points in the 3rd quarter during Game 5 Wednesday night.

Mayor David Holt, who is big Thunder fan, was on a rollercoaster of emotions himself!

He also called out fans who were leaving the game and tweeted they would be pardoned if they left a note on his desk at City Hall saying, “I will never give up again.”

Well, fans on Twitter obliged:

But one fan, who stayed the entire game, tweeted at Holt saying, “What do I get for staying is the real question?”

Holt answered, “Memories for a lifetime.”

After receiving several tweets, Mayor Holt got a little help from former Thunder player Enes Kanter to update fans on the pardons.
