New appointments of the UNP

The UNP has appointed Akila Viraj Kariyawasam as its general secretary.

Meeting at Temple Trees yesterday with PM Ranil Wickremesinghe in the chair, the praty made appointments as per its reorganizing process.

Navin Dissanayake is the national organizer and the chairman is Kabir Hashim.

Dr. Harsha de Silva is the new treasurer.

Sajith Premadasa is the deputy leader and Ravi Karunanayake the assistant leader.
