TSB online banking returns but limited people get in as trouble continues
Wednesday, 25 April 2018 () TSB has limited the number of people who can get into their accounts at any one time today, after working to iron out the problems that have plagued its online banking systems since the weekend.
The limit is to cope with the expected surge in users that the bank anticipates trying to gain access to their accounts after being unable to use online or mobile banking.
On Wednesday, the bank's boss Paul Pester tweeted: "Our mobile banking app and online banking are now up and running. Thank you for your patience and for bearing with us."

This morning, customers were seeing the message:
We're limiting access to internet banking. We've restricted the number of customers who can log in at once to ensure a good service once you're in. So please bear with us and keep trying.
However, customers were still complaining of troubles this morning, with some posting messages they had received saying: "Something went wrong."
Yesterday Pester had apologised for the inconvenience, and promised that customers "can rest assured that no one will be left out of pocket as a result of these service issues".
TSB had previously warned users it would be carrying out upgrades over the weekend between 4pm on Friday and 6pm on Sunday, but a number of customers reported facing troubles into Tuesday, with many complaining they could not pay bills or get cash out.
The chair of the influential Treasury Select Committee yesterday demanded answers from TSB over its IT "meltdown".
Nicky Morgan has written to TSB's chief executive Paul Pester demanding to know what went wrong after the planned upgrade blocked some people from accounts for more than the two anticipated days, and gave some customers access to others' accounts - including allowing them to transfer money.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) meanwhile pledged to investigate TSB's problems while monitoring the situation to ensure members of the public "are not left out of pocket".
