A wine tasting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Stew Leonard’s in Danbury to benefit two residents with heart problems, including Brian Kozo, 25, of New Milford, who received a new heart on Feb. 1.
The event is hosted by Matthews Hearts of Hope, a non-profit organization based in Sherman that was established in 2011 to raise awareness for congenital heart defects. It costs $30 a person.
The fundraiser will also benefit Mason Gero, 1, of Torrington, who is at Boston Children's Hospital waiting to find out if surgery is needed.
