Liverpool fans BRUTALLY attacked: WATCH shocking violence outside Anfield with Roma fans
THIS is the shocking moment violence erupted outside Anfield ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Roma.
Footage captured by BBC News sports editor Dan Roan showed ugly scenes in the lead up to kick off.
Roan tweeted the video with the caption: "Unpleasant scenes outside Anfield a few mins ago, one L’pool fan injured."The clip shows one man in a blue coat being set upon by an angry mob of fans dressed in black.
After a short stand off, the fans in black charge towards the man in blue, punching and kicking him to the floor.
In the foreground a man can already be seen laying on the floor and appears to be wearing a red Liverpool shirt.

While it is not confirmed if the men in black are Roma fans, it backs up claims Sunday Times journalist Jonathan Norcroft made earlier.
He claimed to have seen Roma fans wielding belts attacking Liverpool supporters.
In the above clip, one fan looks to be holding a belt as he lays into the man on the ground.
“Roma fans have just attacked Liverpool supporters with belts, outside the Albert. About 20. One guy down getting treatment,” Norcroft tweeted.

“The Roma group came out of Venmore St, and attack was sudden.
"Picked an older Liverpool fan and atracked him. A lot of police around but they were slow on the scene. Poor guy is still down. Horrible stuff.
“Roma group were chased down the street before police arrived.”
