Priest molests woman, makes video viral

A priest of a temple at Jharpara under the Laxmisagar police station in the city allegedly molested a married woman and made the video of the incident viral.

As per a complaint lodged by the woman at the Mahila police station here on Tuesday, the accused priest Saroj Kumar Dash had promised to provide loan against gold ornaments.  When the woman went to his house for mortgaging her gold ornaments, Dash offered her a drink after lacing it with some intoxicants.

After consuming the drink, the woman fell unconscious following which Dash molested her and recorded the act with a mobile phone.

Using the video, the priest later tried to blackmail the victim to keep a physical relationship with him. However, the woman rejected his demands.

Furious over it the accused sent the video to her husband, relatives and friends via Facebook and WhatsApp. Police started an investigation into the incident by recording the woman’s statement.
