Nadal to begin quest for 11th Barcelona Open title

World number one will aim to begin his quest for 11th Open title on a winning note when he takes on his fellow Spaniard in the men's singles clash here on Wednesday.

Nadal, as the top seed in Barcelona, was handed a bye into the second round and so he is yet to take to the court in Catalonia.

World No. 77 Carballes, on the other hand, will face his compatriot after beating Austria's 6-2, 6-4 in the opening round that lasted one hour and 34 minutes.
