John Krasinski Joined by His Wife Emily Blunt.At Time 100 Gala

He is on this year's Time 100 list.

And when he swung by the Time 100 Gala at New York's Lincoln Center Tuesday evening, John Krasinski gleamed in a silver smoking jacket.

The 38-year-old actor, director, screenwriter and sex symbol was joined by his fellow movie star and wife of nearly eight years, Emily Blunt.

John clashed the jacket against black slacks and dress shoes, popping on a raven-hued bow-tie over a pristine white dress shirt.

Garnishing the ensemble with a white pocket square, he posed up a storm on the red carpet beside the mother of his two children.

Meanwhile, Emily slipped into an elaborate black and off-white floral number with an ankle-length hem and swirl of frills around the waistline.

Her outfit was sheer over the sleeves and above her bust, and the 35-year-old swept her blonde hair back into a bun, balancing on ankle-strap stilettos.

Emily has not herself ever made the Time 100 list, but when her Sunshine Cleaning co-star Amy Adams did, it was Emily who wrote the appreciation piece for her.

At Tuesday night's event, John and Emily turned on their red-carpet smiles alongside Tony-winning Dear Evan Hansen actor Ben Platt.

Ben made the 2017 Time 100 list, for which was fawned over in the magazine by Zac Efron - one of the stars of that year's film The Greatest Showman, which incidentally had a score written by Dear Evan Hasen's own Benji Pasek and Justin Paul.

It was Chris Pratt who wrote the Time 100 tribute for 'my buddy John,' pointing out that 'He is a New England Patriots fan … but nobody’s perfect.'

After marrying at the Villa D'Este in Como, Italy, John and Emily welcomed two daughters, four-year-old Hazel and one-year-old Violet.

John directed and co-starred with Emily in this year's hit horror movie A Quiet Place, for which he also happens to have written the screenplay.

They play a married couple, who along with their two children are being stalked by mysterious noise-tracking creatures.

As a result, the spouses and their little son and daughter - the last of whom is deaf - have to assiduously remain quiet to avoid attracting their predators' attention.

A Quiet Place is not the first movie to feature both Emily and John - each of them got a cameo in the Oscar-nominated 2011 The Muppets Movie.

Additionally, both of them lent their voices to the English translation of the 2013 Japanese film The Wind Rises, directed by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki.

Emily and John also voice-acted together in an animated film called Animal Crackers that came out this year - and in which they played a married couple.
