Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati hit out at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over having dinner at a Dalit’s home in Pratapgarh on Monday and termed it as a `drama’ to get publicity. Mayawati said that the BJP and the Congress were the two sides of the same coin and before elections they engaged in such dramas to woo the Dalit voters. “Everyone knows how the BJP feels about Dalits. When they go to have food at a Dalit’s house, it is the ministers’ own food and utensils which are used for the purpose. In reality, they(BJP) don’t even feel like being in the shadow of a Dalit,” she commented. In a statement released in Lucknow on Tuesday, the BSP chief claimed that both parties did not care about Dalits and backward classes but when elections are round the corner, they take to such things and use them for photo-opportunity. “Despite the antics from the Congress and the BJP, people won’t be be fooled as they have now realised the truth,” Mayawati said. In Monday, Yogi Adityanath after a day-long visit in Pratapgarh’s Kandhaipur Madhupur village, had dinner in the house of a Dalit at night.
