Five-year-old raped by minor boy in S’pur

In yet another incident of sexual assault on minors in the State,  a five-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 15-year-old boy under the Gosala police post here on Tuesday.

Sources said the boy is a neighbour of the victim.

Police detained him for questioning after the girl’s family members lodged a complaint with the Gosala police.

Police officials informed that both the girl and the accused were taken for medical examinations.

However, only after getting a detailed report, it can be ascertained whether the girl was raped or only an attempt of rape was made, police sources said.
