Robert T. Erwin, 86, of Moon Twp., died Saturday, April 21, 2018, in Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver. Born February 7, 1932, in Terre Haute, Ind., a son of the late Tiffin and Ruth (Lake) Erwin, he was a graduate of Indiana State University with a degree in Biology. He was a retired professor from Robert Morris University, where he was in charge of the intramural program. He was a founder, individual and director of Sports Management at Robert Morris University, and coached baseball, men's soccer and women's volleyball. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Surviving are two sons, Guy Erwin, Cranberry Twp., and Troy Erwin and his wife, Kathy, Harmony Twp.; two daughters, Lisa Erwin and her husband Alfred Werner, Duluth, Minn., and Amy Massaglia and her husband Mark, West Hartford, Conn., and 10 grandchildren, Paige Erwin, Edward Erwin, Natalie Erwin, Katie Detwiler and her husband Jonathan, Melissa Zucca and her husband James, Benjamin Hardy, Peter Hardy, David Hardy, Troy Hirsch and Max Massaglia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Erwin. Family and friends may call at a memorial viewing on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge.
