Motorcycle Safety for Spring and Summer months

ROTHSCHILD, Wis. (WSAW) -- With warmer weather upon us, that means motorcycle season is back as well!

According to Assistant Sales Manager, Jose Hunt, at the Rothschild Harley Davidson, cyclists can stay safe by taking the correct precautions when out on the road.

"Wearing high visibility clothing, making sure all the bike safety features work, looking for sand and debris from other drivers are all important," explained Hunt.

Also, wearing the correct gear in case of an accident is crucial.

A helmet, jacket, riding pants or chaps, gloves, riding boots and eye wear should all be worn anytime you go out on a motorcycle.

"Our riding academy is another way riders can learn how to feel safe out on the roads," said Hunt.

Harley Davidson is offering a Riding Academy where a 6 to 1 student to instructor ratio of classroom and course time allows for riders to learn and perform their best on their bikes.

"We go over the safety handbook, and have the students perform range exercises and drills on the bikes," mentioned Hunt.

Currently, the academy has a special offer for veterans, active duty or first responders for just $99 for the entire course.
