Discussion on UNP’s new office bearers continues

The UNP Politburo which met yesterday to discuss the election of new office bearers, was scheduled to continue deliberations today , the party’s Assistant Secretary Ravi Karunanayake said last night.

Asked if a consensus had been reached on the names proposed for the key positions of Chairman General Secretary and National Organiser , Karuananayake said ” No , we will be continuing our discussions today.”
