J P Nadda reviewes preparedness for prevention, control of vector-borne diseases |
Health and Family Welfare Minister J P Nadda today reviewed the preparedness for prevention and control of vector-borne diseases like kalaazar, dengue, malaria and chickungunya in the country.
During the meeting in New Delhi, Mr Nadda directed officials for mounting aggressive campaigns to enhance awareness on prevention and control of these diseases before the onset of monsoon season.
The Minister said that he will also talk to the Health Ministers of the endemic States to ensure that they are prepared with all the necessary medicines and kits. He further directed the officials and Nodal officers to visit kalaazar endemic States of Jharkhand and Bihar immediately and report to him by next Wednesday.
