As the ATMs remain dry for days together and people, particularly in rural areas, continue to suffer of non-availability of cash, Baleswar MP Rabindra Kumar Jena on Tuesday wrote to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley seeking his intervention in the matter. In his letter Jena said, “I have been receiving many complaints from scores of people across my constituency over the cashless ATM counters pleading with me to take up the issue with your Ministry.”

He mentioned that there are many ATMs locked out with “No Cash” signage and people are facing problems in their daily chores being unable to draw cash, especially in rural areas.
