Mumbai: Slamming the caste politics, Nitin Gadkari, union minister for road transport, highways and shipping on Tuesday said that opposition parties play caste politics when they could not be able to react gainst the development issues.
Appreciating the working style adopted by the Fadnavis government in the state Gadkari remarked, “Maharashtra government is following the transparent administration and making prompt decisions which resulted into clean image of the chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and his government in the last three and half year. So unemployed politicians raised caste issues when they could not react against development,” Gadkari said.
Gadkari was addressing a book release programme at Sahyadri, government guest house. A book on Fadnavis named ‘Man on Mission Maharashtra’ written by a journalist Ashish Chandorkar was released by the hands of union minister in presence of Fadnavis, literature writer Sadanand More and other ministers in the state. A book comprised by government schemes, with few case studies on how these schemes transformed the real life of rural area and people.
Emphasising on the decisive power and indirectly pointing figure on former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan for allegedly delays decisions, Fadnavis said, “Decision delays by mainly two reasons, either a person tries to maintain his clean image or wait for ‘someone’ to come and meet. However have sorted out many issues by taking prompt decision which was pending since last 15 years. I neither waits for ‘someone’ to make my decision nor thought of grabbing the credit of the positive decision.”
