Downpour ushers in days of rain for Albany area
Rain clouds replaced the sunny skies on Wednesday. Overnight, a drenching rain moved into the area and downpours were expected throughout the day.
Forecasters say it is the first of several days that should feature at least some rain before dry weather returns on Sunday.
The temperature was expected to get close to 60 degrees on Wednesday but the rain should be a constant presence throughout the day.
Rain is also predicted on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, though the likelihood of downpours diminishes with each day.
During the rest of the work week, the daytime temperature is expected to hover around the high 50s and the low 60s.
Sunday is expected to be the coolest day, with the mercury struggling to break 50 degrees. But the rain should be gone by then.
