MSME ministry plans digital trade desk for improved collaboration among SMEs

The ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) is planning to set up a digital trade desk for increasing collaborations among companies from and other countries and promoting exchange of data.

Addressing the valedictory function of International SME Convention here, said: "The ministry has planned to set up a digital trade desk aimed at furthering more collaborations between SMEs of and other countries and for exchange of data".

He also said that another mega international event is being planned.

The convention, organised by the ministry, saw participation of 160 SMEs from 39 countries.

The three-day event concluded with discussions on issues, including international best practices on SME development and cooperation, global opportunities and problems faced by women entrepreneurs.

"23 agreements were signed between SMEs of and the UK, Russia, Uzbekistan, Poland, Bhutan, Austria, Czech Republic, and Sri Lanka," the ministry said in a statement.
