Lebanese singer Layal Abboud was a guest on the TV show "Sahar Al Lail" (Staying up at Night) that is presented by comedic duo Shady Marwan and Gabi Howayek.
In the interview Abboud tackled different topics including the reality of art in lebanon, and said that there are some people who stand in the way of great success that lebanese stars achieve, and that there are many great voices that are not working today because they don't recieve any support from production companies.
Layal also talked about the war against her from other fellow female singers, and she revealed that there is a lebanese singer that attacks her constantly yet she did not mention her name, saying that this particular songstress called the ministry of culture and expressed how agitated she was because the ministry honored Layal.
Moreover, Layal refuses to be Lebanese star Haifa Wehbe's replacement, she said "I was offered to star in the movie 'Thanya Wahda' (One Second) after Haifa declined the role, but I refused to be her replacement' adding that she is preparing with producer Mohamed Al Sobki for another film that is written specifically for her"
