“We have to provide basic infrastructure in villages and provide jobs to the youths so that they can stay in the villages,” he said. Yogi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working towards focussing on gram panchayats and increased funds for the same. “ Development of villages would stop exodus from rural areas and pave way for a new India,” he said. Without development of villages, nothing can be achieved. We have to do a lot of work in this regard so that people staying in the villages do not have to rush to the cities to get the facilities,” he said. On the occasion, Yogi also elaborated on welfare schemes launched by the Modi government and the UP government. He said that the Centre’s Jan Dhan account opening scheme was a landmark achievement, while Pradhanmantri Awas Yojgna and Ujjwala Yojana have boosted the rural infrastructure.
