In Indonesia, at least 15 people were killed and 40 others injured when a newly drilled unregulated oil well caught fire in Aceh province.
National Disaster Mitigation Agency spokesman, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said the well in Pasi Putih village ignited early today and is still burning.
The Agency said in a statement that they are still collecting data on the number of victims because the fire has not been extinguished.
The fire had broken out about 1.30am local time in a residential area on Sumatra island's Aceh province, after a well overflowed and residents gathered to collect the oil. The agency said, dozens of people were taken to hospital in the provincial capital, Banda Aceh.
Aceh, at the north tip of the island of Sumatra, has significant commercially untapped natural gas reserves and is dotted with illegal wells.
