Arsenal have sounded out Enrique as they hunt a replacement for Wenger, who will leave after 22 years in charge.
The Frenchman is stepping down at the Emirates after a season that has seen the Gunners flounder in the Premier League.
Enrique has been out of work since leaving Barcelona, and Arsenal chiefs are understood to be keen on his appointment.
Carlo Ancelotti, Thomas Tuchel and Max Allegri have all been tipped to take the Arsenal job.
But Coral have slashed odds on Enrique succeeding Wenger at the end of the season.
“All the money in the last 24 hours has been for Luis Enrique to take over from Arsene Wenger this summer and as a result the former Barcelona treble winning coach is now the clear favourite to get the job at the Emirates Stadium,” said Coral’s John Hill.
Enrique’s odds have been slashed from 4-1 to 2-1.
Mikel Arteta is also leading candidate at 5-1 with Germany manager Joachim Low available at 6-1.
Meanwhile, Gary Neville thinks Arsenal should forget about Enrique - and go for Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone instead.

"I spoke about Diego Simeone as a candidate to replace Arsene Wenger in my podcast and the reaction I got on social media was that his style isn't the Arsenal way," Neville told Sky Sports.
"What I would say is Arsenal isn't defined by Arsene Wenger.
"The last 10 years have been very different to the previous 10 years and if Arsenal feel the football they have to play is the 'total football way' then perhaps they'll go for Luis Enrique, but Simeone is the outstanding candidate in terms of taking on rivals with bigger budgets."
Enrique won nine trophies in three years at Barcelona.
