Baseball legend Pete Rose will make his theater debut this October at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, according to a Mann Hall news release.

The Broadway-style show is called “4192: An Evening with Pete Rose Live!” and will feature Rose sharing stories from his baseball career. The number 4,192 refers to Rose’s record-breaking 4,192nd career hit in 1985, breaking Ty Cobb’s major league record.

Tickets for the Oct. 5 event go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. They cost $42 and $52 (excluding applicable taxes and fees, prices subject to change). A limited number of VIP tickets, which include a meet and greet, cost $152.

Pre-sale tickets for Mann Hall’s Email Club members go on sale one to three days before the general sale date.

“Pete Rose is an American icon and, in this show, he tells it all as he takes you inside the game of baseball as no other person can,” the news release says. “Using hi-tech multimedia that creates a game day atmosphere, the stage will be transformed into a field of memories and the audience will be transported to the golden era of baseball, complete with all the trappings of a World Series game including the first pitch, Star-Spangled Banner and of course, introductions.”
