Taking note of illegal hoardings, Punjab minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu has asked the Ludhiana mayor to remove all such hoardings, installed to greet him on his induction as a cabinet minister.
Ashu asked the mayor to issue directions to the officials to remove all illegal hoardings, an official release said today.
The minister said it has come to his notice that his supporters have installed hoardings to greet him. Although, he respected the feelings of his supporters, but adherence to law could not be ignored, the release said.
Ashu also appealed to his supporters and party workers to avoid installing hoardings to greet him, it added.
