Refined soya oil futures remain weak on spot cues

Refined fell further by 0.24 per cent to Rs 778.30 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their holdings, tracking a weak trend at spot market on sluggish demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined for delivery in June fell by Rs 1.85, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 778.30 per 10 kg with an open interest of 21,430 lots.

Similarly, the for delivery in May contracts moved down by Rs 1.50, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 771.25 per 10 kg in 55,210 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by participants, tracking a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand against adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts kept refined down in futures trade.
