BASEBALL: Brayden Bustin 4-for-4 as Durfee wins at Barnstable

Durfee 9, Barnstable 4: At Barnstable, Brayden Bustin went 4-for-4 with two runs batted in as the Hilltoppers (3-2) posted this road win.

Winning pitcher Tommy Lambert allowed seven hits and three earned runs in six innings. He struck out six and walked four. Cameron Macedo worked a scoreless seventh.

Durfee finished with 14 hits, all singles, and received big-time production from the bottom third of the batting order — Brett Fonseca (2-for-3), Bustin and Lucas Sousa (2-for-4, 2 RBIs). Nate Ladeira was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Durfee scored six runs in the fourth inning to open an 8-1 lead. Barnstable answered with three runs in the home half of the fourth.
