A candlelight vigil will be held Wednesday to remember the three-year-old boy swept out of his mother's arms in the Grand River during flooding in February.
On Saturday, a fisherman found the body of a young male. Police have yet to confirm the identity of the body until an autopsy is completed, but family have posted on Facebook saying it was the body of Kaden Young, who has been missing since Feb. 21.
Kaden's mother, Michelle Hanson, wrote a post on Facebook saying the "extremely draining" months of searching had "finally come to an end."
"The amount of support was absolutely incredible and we really can't thank everyone enough," she wrote.
Hanson was driving a van around 1 a.m. on Feb. 21 when she passed a road closed sign about a kilometre from the family's home.
There was water over the road due to flooding and the van went into the river. Hanson tried to free herself and her son from the van, but after getting Kaden out, he was pulled out of her arms.
The vigil will be held on the Belwood bridge at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
