Melania Trump and Brigitte Macron join husbands on US state visit

The First Ladies were joined by their husbands US President Donald J. Trump, 71, and French President Emmanuel Macron, 40 in Washington DC for a three day state visit.

Former model Melania Trump made sure all eyes were on her in an all white ensemble made up of a white pencil skirt and blazer which featured a belt to show off her slim figure and a large eye-catching hat.

Brigitte also opted for a white outfit which chic black detailing. 

The Macrons arrived yesterday for their US State visit which saw Melania and Brigitte stepping out of the White House together before participating in a tree-planting ceremony on the South Lawn.

Melania Trump wore a $2,790 black Givenchy tuxedo cape over a stylish Dolce and Gabbana dress and a classic pair of black stiletto high heels.

Brigitte Macron donned a pale yellow Louis Vuitton coat and matching dress and teamed her look with a similar patent leather shoe to Melania as the pair navigated their way across the lawn.

The Presidents wives smiled and looked in good spirits as they walked together to plant a European Sessile Oak tree that the Macrons brought with them to Washington.

The 4.5ft tree comes from the Belleau Woods and signifies the US sacrifice during World War I.

The two couples were later seen boarding Marine One helicopter for a tour of Washington’s historical monuments.

The foursome then made their way to a private dinner at Mount Vernon, the estate of the first US President George Washington, in Mount Vernon, Virginia which is a short flight away.

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania will host Emmanuel and his wife, Brigitte, for the first state visit of the Trump administration, in the State Dinning room of the White House during their stay.
