AHS students excel

Augusta High School's Bella Canto (Women's Choir), Concert Choir and Concert Band all earned 1 (Superior) Ratings last week at the Kansas State High School Activities Association's State Large Group Contest at Winfield High School.
Bella Canto performed "Dominus Vobiscum" by Narverud, "Gate Gate" by Brian Tate and "I Want Jesus to Walk With Me" by Richard Nance.
The Concert Choir sang "Wade in the Water" by Rollo Dillworth, "Weep O Mine Eyes" by John Bennett and "Seal Lullaby" by Eric Whitacre.
The Concert Band performed "They Led My Lord Away" arr. by Fred J. Allen and "A Festival Prelude" by Alfred Reed.
The choirs are directed by Jerrod McNutt and accompanied by Tricia Brown. The band is directed by Todd Hollis and Clayton Kaus.
