Dual murder in Kharora

Police recovered half burnt bodies of a woman and a youth from a field under Kharora police station jurisdiction at the outskirts of capital on Monday. Identification of both the bodies had been done and it is suspected that they were set ablaze after being murdered.

Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Omprakash Sharma informed that some passerby after finding the bodies of the duo informed the police.

The woman had gone to field on Sunday afternoon to collect cow-dung for making cow-dung cake while the youth had gone there to graze his goats, police said.

It is suspected that the woman was earlier gang raped and was killed later. They are also suspecting that as the youth might have been witness to the crime and he too fell prey to them.  After being killed, the bodies of them might have been burnt in heap of paddy husk, police expressed their suspicion.
