ASSAM RIFLES GETS ELECTRICITY TO SEHLON VILLAGE FIRST TIME

“True Friends of the Hill People are Brave soldiers of Assam Rifles with a heart of gold” is an adage commonly spoken by the locals in the Samtal Salient. This came true yet again when 19 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector operationalized a 5 KVA Solar Power plant in Sehlon Village thereby ensuring that the village gets electricity for the first time since Independence. The tears of joy beaming in the eyes of the village elders were testament of this fact. On being asked Mr Thangzalet Mate said, “We are indebted to the efforts of 19 Assam Rifles for having done so much for us. We can’t express our gratitude”.

National Public Relations Day Celebrated at NDIM
