El Dorado added another run in the bottom of the third inning, as Jarin Koehler drove in Evan Dean from third to cute Collegiate’s lead to three.

Two innings later, Collegiate put six more runs on the board. The El Dorado defense got a double play early in the inning, but the Spartans were still able to score six runs before El Dorado could get the third out. Three of Collegiate’s six runs were scored off of El Dorado errors.

Jarin Koehler drove in another run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly, but Collegiate ended the game in the next at-bat as the Spartans won game one 12-4.
