LUCKNOW: A 45-year-old woman committed suicide in her house in
Madiaon, while in
Gosaiganj, a 20-year-old hanged herself, allegedly after getting scolded by her parents over studies.
In Madiaon, Sarita Yadav (45) ended her life when her husband and her son were out of the house for work. Her daughter Anjali had gone to her school.
Madiaon SHO Amarnath Verma said that some residents found her hanging from the ceiling.
In Gosaiganj, BA (II) student
Sangeeta Kumari, was found hanging from the ceiling with a dupatta. She was rushed to
Civil Hospital but declared brought dead.
Police spokesperson AK Singh said preliminary investigations said Kumari was upset over being scolded.
No suicide note was recovered in either case.
