Suspicious package has downtown Wilmington street closed

Wilmington police have closed a portion of Fourth Street as they investigate a suspicious package in the downtown area. 

Both directions of East Fourth Street, between King and Market streets, is currently closed to all traffic.  

At least two bomb robots can be seen moving along the sidewalk, toward a small parking lot off Fourth Street.

This is at least the second bomb threat Wilmington police have been called out to in as many weeks. 

Wilmington officers and federal authorities were investigating a home in the city's Trolley Square neighborhood Wednesday afternoon after a car with a suspicious package was found inside a vehicle parked in a Riverfront lot. The package turned out to be non-threatening.
