Thane: For underprivileged children, this will be a great grand day in their lives as they were in for a surprise treat. The joy showed on their faces which was just spectacular and they merrily enjoyed every bit of it. The event was organised by one of Thane’s banquet hall and the theme was to celebrate the first anniversary of banquet with homeless children. Over 100 girls from Maa Niketan were the guest of honour at the event and their birthday was celebrated in the banquet.

The anniversary was just the token of love and care to share with the homeless girls. It was an effort to spread the love in the lives of the orphans who otherwise do not have the chance to celebrate or visit the grand events.

The fun-filled party with lots of guests, games ,music and cake cutting session made the day memorable for these children. The children’s favourite character ‘Chota Bheem’ was the centre of attraction who played, did photo sessions with the character. “My birthday was in March, but this celebration was great. I will never forget it. This is the most exciting day I have ever witnessed. Along with Chota Bheem ,we had fun here,” said Sitara, resident of Maa Niketan. Like Sitara, all the children danced and had fun.
