HENRYETTA, Oklahoma -

Henryetta Police confiscated 44 pounds of methamphetamine Tuesday morning after making a traffic stop, according to Chief of Police Steve Norman. Street value for the drug is "in the neighborhood of $1,000,000," a news release states.

Norman said his officers stopped a vehicle for speeding on northbound U.S. Highway 75 and learned the driver didn't have a license. While officers were talking to the driver and passenger, K-9 Officer MALO alerted on the vehicle.

During a search, Norman said officers found the 44 pounds of meth hidden in two boxes - along with several thousand in cash. Two people were arrested on drug trafficking charges.

Their names have not been released.
