Ralph L. Tustin Ellijay, Georgia Formerly of Freedom Ralph Lindsey Tustin, 88, of Ellijay, Georgia, formerly of Freedom, last surviving of nine children, passed on April 19, 2018, surrounded by loving family. He was born February 23, 1930, in Waynesburg, Pa., son of the late Charles Peter and Alta Mae (Hunnel) Tustin. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, he worked over twenty years as a mechanic with Sears Automotive Repair. He also owned and operated Tustin's Auto Repair and Inspection Station in Freedom for many years. During his earlier days, Ralph enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He had a soft spot for animals, whether cats or dogs, and affectionately called all of them by the name "Pooch." In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wilhelmina (Funk) Tustin, on April 20, 2009; his brothers, Homer Renner; Bus, Francis, Guy (Red Buck), and sisters, Pearl Mascik (Pud), Betty Basinger, Inez Delaney (Puss), and Mary Gump (Stink). Ralph is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald "D.D." and Toni Tustin, New Brighton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Candice Tustin, Butler, Pa., and Arenetta "Arnie" and Dale Powell, Ellijay, Ga., with whom he resided; five grandchildren: Melissa, Bill Sr., Aimee, Shannon and Lyndzee; ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends will be received Tuesday, April 24, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Military honors will be presented at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2018, in the funeral home by members of the Beaver County Special Unit with a brief service to follow. Private entombment will be in the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
