A man was arrested today with 71-kg opium, worth nearly Rs 1.5 crore in the domestic market, in Rajasthan's Chhitorgarh district, police said.
A resident of Neemuch district in Madhya Pradesh, Sunil Nagda alias Chauthmal was arrested when he was travelling a car from Neemuch to Jodhpur, Nimbaheda police station SHO Darshan Singh said.
He said that the seized opium is worth Rs 1.5 crore in the domestic market.
A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and further investigation into the matter was on, he added.
