Man arrested with 71-kg opium in Rajasthan

A man was arrested today with 71-kg opium, worth nearly Rs 1.5 crore in the domestic market, in Rajasthan's district, police said.

A resident of district in Madhya Pradesh, Sunil Nagda alias Chauthmal was arrested when he was travelling a car from to Jodhpur, station SHO Darshan Singh said.

He said that the seized is worth Rs 1.5 crore in the domestic market.

A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and further investigation into the matter was on, he added.
