Saskatoon police received a call late Monday morning of a man in the middle of the South Saskatchewan River near Gabriel Dumont Park.

Police received a call at around 11 a.m. CT Monday of a man in the middle of the river near Gabriel Dumont Park.
The Saskatoon Fire Department river rescue team was also called in to help with the search.

Police said it is not known how the man entered the river.
