Vogel Literary prize awarded to Brisbane author Emily O'Grady

The winner of the prestigious Vogel Literary Award has gone to Brisbane author Emily O'Grady.
The $20,000 prize is given annually to the best unpublished manuscript from a writer under 35 years old.
It has launched the careers of authors like Tim Winton and Kate Grenville.
Emily O'Grady's winning novel The Yellow House will be released on Tuesday, published by Allen and Unwin.
