Kings XI Punjab defeated Delhi Daredevils by 4 runs in Delhi to continue their dominating run in IPL 2018. CHasing 144 at home, DD had a terrible start when they lost three wickets in powerplay overs. Shreyas Iyer showed some resistance and scored a half-century but he ran out of partners on the other end. The hosts eventually lost the match. Earlier, Kings XI Punjab were restricted to 143/8 in 20 overs after Avesh Khan troubled the KXIP batsmen. KXIp have retained their top spot in the points table.
